Interesting quotes from the Colts coach, who QB'ed one of the greatest playoff comebacks of all time ...
Or it is the best thing for his long term health, depending how you look at it. There's no better job in the NFL than the back up QB.
Also Reich isn't a fool. He either:
1) Has an insurance policy for Luck, who has been injured some.
2) Gets ideas like this out in the media which would raise Brissett's value if they do move him.
Unless he's improved drastically since his time at NC State, I don't see him as a top 20 NFL QB. I would love to be wrong though, but the player we saw had all the intangibles pegged, looked the part, but couldn't seem to complete a pass longer than about 7 yards (and the longer throws were way off).
wouldn't it be great to see him in Charlotte. Crap, I'd love to see anyone else in Charlotte at the QB position.
Yeah Rye, I'd love to be a backup QB.
Unless there is drastic improvement, expect it to happen next year.
this might lead to a new "thing".
since NFL players have the money to do it, why wouldn't a back-up
QB pay for a (private) liability insurance policy on the first stringer?
obviously, there are myriad details....but just to get the juices flowing....
is there a way to structure an advantageous (for the back-up) policy?
Thank you stick, you have given me hope that I'm not the only one that see's the obvious. Cam's a great guy in the community...no doubt but, if your gonna act like the king of the jungle I expect you to at least eat the gophers.
I would expect Will Grier or Heineken to get some playing time.
Loving the idea of Will Grier...loving even more the fact we didn't have to worry the possibility of him eating up our secondary.
I was very excited when the Grier pick scrolled by the draft screen. Cam should have taken better care of himself especially those first 4 years. He needlessly took a beating trying to stay up.
Turkey: That’d be a slick racket...
Maybe Kerry Collins can come out of retirement.
TJ Yates maybe. Same number of playoff wins as Tony Romo.
